Issue 134: June 2011
FESTIVAL SPECIAL!
Asking Alexandria, All Time Low, Black Veil Brides & My Chemical Romance invade your stage...
With Summer upon us, for music lovers it means one thing and one thing only: festival season! 2011 looks to be a landmark year for festivals. Whether it's resurgent rock titans or up-and-coming bands blazing a trail, this year looks to be the best yet. To celebrate, we bring you everything you need to know in preparation for festival season as we catch up with My Chemical Romance, Black Veil Brides, All Time Low, Asking Alexandria, D.R.U.G.S. and many more as they prepare to invade festivals around the world.
We've even got a giant Asking Alexandria and My Chemical Romance poster for you too!
Elsewhere we talk to the likes of Celtic punk heroes Flogging Molly, returning German punks the Beatsteaks, legendary Swedish melodic death metallers Arch Enemy and Scottish 'fight pop' pioneers Dananananaykroyd, as well as charting the success of Avenged Sevenfold to date.
Also, Twin Atlantic's Sam McTrusty tells us the albums that changed his life and we pay homage to Metallica frontman James Hetfield. There's album reviews of Taking Back Sunday, All Time Low, Frank Turner, Face To Face, Atmosphere, Of Mice & Men and City And Colour, as well as live reviews of Groezrock Festival, The King Blues, Underoath and more!
