Surprising news (although certainly hinted at on their song 'The Ocean'), Against Me!'s Tom Gabel has revealed he has been dealing with Gender Dysphoria and, as a result, will begin transitioning from a man to a woman through the use of hormones and electrolysis treatments and will eventually take on the name Laura Jane Grace.

Announced in a new interview in Rolling Stone magazine, Gabel reveals she was most worried about how wife Heather would react but the couple will remain married. “For me, the most terrifying thing about this was how she would accept the news,” says Gabel. “But she's been super-amazing and understanding.”
