Alexisonfire have confirmed all the rumours about a split with a statement posted on their official website http://www.theonlybandever.com/

In the statement from frontman George Pettit explains that both Dallas Green and Wade MacNeil have announced they were leaving - the former to concentrate on his hugely successful City And Colour solo career and the latter because he was "asked to join another band", adding weight to rumours that MacNeil will be the new frontman of Gallows.

Pettit also says there is talk of plans of final releases to celebrate their 10 year anniversary and a farewell tour in the works.
