“An all-day gig to celebrate 20 years of the UK’s original street culture and music magazine – cool shit all day”

EXTRA SPECIAL HEADLINERS
Plus Jesse James, Sonic Boom Six, Vanilla Pod, The Bar Stool Preachers,The Setbacks and more to be announced!

Big Cheese magazine, the UK’s original music and street culture bible, has just published its 179th and last ever issue (*wipes eyes*). After 20 years of nothing but punk, rock and metal mayhem, the publishers will be moving on, but not without throwing one hell of a farewell party, the Big Cheese - Big Send Off!

An all-day affair (it needs to be) at London's O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Sunday 17 July, the line-up will feature some of the UK's best bands of the last 15 years and the acts best connected to Big Cheese magazine, its ethos and its record label, Deck Cheese Records. With two extra special headliners to be announced soon (due to festival bookings), the all-dayer will feature Sonic Boom Six, Vanilla Pod, The Bar Stool Preachers, The Setbacks and a special guest band still to be announced. Punk band, Jesse James, are also reforming for this rare, one-night-only show in the capital as part of the Big Cheese - Big Send Off! celebrations. And to top off the night, the BIG CHEESE ALL STARS will close the night with a one-off live performance.

These bands are the cream of the crop that Big Cheese was at the forefront of over the last two decades. Big Cheese has been an iconic part of the music industry for the last 20 years and many will be sad that it will no longer grace the newsstands. Big Cheese Editor-in-Chief (El Presidente), Eugene Butcher says, “We promise that this will be a real night to remember and we're going to party like its 2005 again. It’s not all over yet, Big Cheese is launching a new, heavier music magazine called Down For Life in June.”

Suitably sponsored by Jagermeister, there’ll be a special compere, and Big Cheese DJs playing the best in skate punk, ska punk, ska, reggae, rock and punk from the 2000s and beyond!

The Big Cheese - Big Send Off! will also feature record stalls and all-day shenanigans with proceeds from this massive, farewell Big Cheese gig, donated to Shelter.
